4. Kistefos – ein neues Besucherzentrum
Im spektakulären Kistefos-Museum und Kunstzentrum in der Nähe von Oslo eröffnet im Juni 2026 ein neues Besucherzentrum. Das Design stammt vom Architekturbüro Lund Hagem Arkitekter AS.
Vom neuen Gebäude genießt man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Fluss Randselva. Die Architektur harmoniert mit der Landschaft und wurde von der Geschichte des Holzflößens in Kistefos inspiriert.
5. Emissionsfrei unterwegs in UNESCO-geschützten Fjorden
Für den Verkehr im Geirangerfjord startete am 1. Januar 2026 eine neue Ära: Kleine Passagierschiffe in den UNESCO-geschützten Fjorden müssen nun emissionsfrei betrieben werden.

Im November 2025 zeigte Havila Voyages, dass sich die gesamte Küstenroute zwischen Bergen und Kirkenes emissionsarm befahren lässt.
Die Havila Polaris legte die gesamte Strecke mit verflüssigtem Biogas zurück. Vorläufige Berechnungen zeigen, dass die CO2-Emissionen durch den Einsatz von Biogas und den Batteriesystemen des Schiffes um fast 92 Prozent gesenkt werden können.

We walk together in Herborg's songbook When Kråkevik's songbook was published in 2000, with her warm and distinctive interpretations of, among others, "Den fyrste song", "Til ungdommen" and "Blåmann", the album became an immediate sensation. Kråkevik was described as Norway's number one songbird and was named Spellemann of the Year – with the justification: "Never has the Norwegian song treasure been interpreted in a finer way." The recordings, made in collaboration with the TrondheimSolistene, sold an impressive 250,000 copies and placed the album among the best-selling Norwegian releases of all time. Throughout her career, Herborg Kråkevik has shown rare versatility as a singer, actress and lyricist, and has consolidated her position as one of the country's foremost cultural communicators. In 2026, she is once again highly relevant – both in the popular TV series Hver gang vi møtes on TV2 in January, and with a new album and book in March. The new album is a collection of several Norwegian songs, and the book is a collaboration with the National Museum where songs and paintings are put together under the title "Vi vandrar saman". After three sold-out anniversary concerts in 2025, the Kråkevik and Trondheim Soloists will now embark on a grand tour in the spring of 2026. The ensemble is in the process of renewing the repertoire from the Songboka, and the audience can look forward to both immortal classics and brand new songs from the upcoming album. WELCOME TO THE MAY 1ST CELEBRATION! Kulturen is moving into a new location at Strandveien 100 in Nyhavna . Here, the activism of the seventies in the film TRONDHEIMSKAMPEN will meet today's struggle for Strandveien 23 and the cultural environments at Nyhavna, through film, panel debate, appeals and artistic elements. THE TRONDHEIMSKAMPEN is a historical and topical documentary about activism then and now, told as a personal story by Barbro Rønning, as a contemporary witness and activist for 50 years. Through the film we want to look at how past activism can help ignite present-day activism. In the 70s, the people saved the old wooden houses in the city from demolition in connection with the construction of a motorway. Now Strandveien 23 faces the same threat when Bane Nor wants to build wider railway tracks and demolish old wooden houses on Svartlamoen. What can we learn from past activism? What has been and is the role of art in the urban environment struggle? And what makes a city diverse and good to live in? With: Svartlamon Women's Choir, Berit Rusten, Barbro Rønning, Siri Gjære, Daniel Johansen, Eiv Rindal, Selma Sjøhagen, Lars Gaupseth. Kjöter is the band that has cracked the code of Norwegian punk rock and that follows tradition without being afraid to push boundaries. They deliver solid songs with a raw expression that makes you feel like you're discovering an authentic Norwegian band from the 80s for the first time. The guys kicked off the Norwegian rock scene in 2022 with a self-titled debut EP recorded at Tinnitus Studio, and have since established themselves as one of the most exciting new bands in the country. In 2023, they followed up with a series of concerts and their first Norwegian tour, where they played in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Drammen and Kristiansand, among other places - and won over the audience with their energetic, uncompromising live expression. A real intimate concert there. Reminder that MALABARI is playing two full sets this evening. And they start after the quiz is over. Malabari is a melodic, eclectic hard rock band that is not afraid to flirt with the heaviest elements of metal. It has been barely a year since they released their well-received debut album Down The Maelstrom, but the band is not resting on their laurels. On October 3, 2025, they released their follow-up album “…And Into The Abyss”, and promoted it with an ever-so-small autumn tour with gigs at Hulen in Bergen, Rockheim in Trondheim and at Ørland Rockfest together with bands Jelusick; Mayfire and Dynazty. “…And Into The Abyss” was recorded at the same time as the debut, but despite that, it shows new and more intense sides of the band. The music draws inspiration from grand hard rock and metal à la Ghost and Metallica, the groovy heaviness of El Caco, and with elements of aggression that can be reminiscent of something from the modern metal scene. The result is uncompromising, melodic hard rock that is both captivating and hard-hitting. With songs like the majestic Make Way For The King, with a music video filmed at the venerable Thamspaviljongen in Orkanger, and the hard-hitting beast Hypnagogia, which pulls the band into a heavier groove metal landscape. The album offers a wide range, and on stage the expression is taken a notch further. Oda Trøen is an artist from Ålen who creates honest country music inspired by everyday events, heartbreak and friendship. With sarcasm and humor, she builds a narrative that is both entertaining, captivating and recognizable to the listener. She brings with her to the Àrdna sessions a bunch of brand new songs, as well as selected favorites from previous releases. This was Adresseavisen's reviewer, Ole Jacob Hoel,'s verdict after Trondheim Calling in 2023 when he gave Trøen and the band a five: "Her expression and music simply smell a bit of liberating silo. She has a lovely Dolly Parton edge to her voice, while the whole package has a slightly more rock-ish Emmylou Harris / Gram Parsons aura. And she writes really good songs. The trio from this fall's EP is a string of gems: "Too Late to Die Young", "Vodka Soda" and "Rocky And Adrian" are as good as anything from abroad." (Adressa, 2023). The best singer-songwriter you've never heard of Jeff Porter is perhaps best known as the lead guitarist for The Rainmakers, but as a solo artist he shows his own unique strength as a songwriter. With his 2021 release "Daylight", he delivers a warm and genre-playing collection of songs, full of clever wordplay, strong melodies and lyrics that hit right to the heart. Porter moves seamlessly between folk, rock and Americana - always with the stories at the center. The opening track Top of the World was voted one of the listeners' favorites on an alternative radio station in Kansas City, and is a good example of his ability to combine catchy melodies with heartfelt lyrics. There will be a party at Moskus, the evening before May 1st: Maldito was formed in Liverpool in 2015 by Vegard Ring, Bendik Brevik, Gard Rognskog and Jon Olav Alstad, while they were studying at the renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. With inspiration from 70s rock and prog, combined with a touch of 90s pop-rock, the band has created its own unique musical expression. As winners of the Union Blues Cup in 2019, Maldito has performed on nearly 90 stages in Norway, England and Germany. They also represented Norway in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2020, where they reached the quarterfinals. The band has played at festivals such as Notodden Bluesfestival, Irchenberg Festival, Eutin Bluesfestival, Norwegian Blues Adventure in London, and Øyafestivalen. In 2023, they supported Grammy winners Larkin Poe at Tapperiet in Trondheim. En kammermusikal i to akter av Gisle Kverndokk og Aksel-Otto Bull Ruth Maier er noe så sjeldent som en norsk musikal om en ung kvinne som ikke overlever jødeforfølgelsene, og om en kjærlighetshistorie. Musikalen har gjort stor suksess i Europa, og nå kommer den endelig hit til Norge og Trondheim! Ruth Maier var en av 532 jøder som ble tatt om bord i «Donau» den 26. november 1942 og ført fra Oslo til Auschwitz. Hun var 22 år gammel, og hadde fire år tidligere flyktet fra Wien for å unnslippe jødeforfølgelsen. Hun ble drept i konsentrasjonsleiren første desember, fem dager etter at hun kom dit. Hun etterlot seg et stort antall dagbøker, fra 1933 til 1942, samt brev skrevet til kjæresten, Gunvor Hofmo, og til søsteren, Judith, som hadde flyktet til England. Gunvor tok vare på disse i over 50 år og både dagbøker og brev gir et innblikk i både dagligliv, tanker og drømmer. Hun hadde også i sitt eie flere litterære tekster, akvareller og tegninger – Ruth hadde akkurat startet på kunststudier ved Statens kunsthøgskole da hun bare to måneder seinere ble deportert. I 2007 ga Jan Erik Vold ut boken Ruth Maiers dagbok – en jødisk flyktning i Norge som er oversatt til 12 språk, og i 2014 ble Ruths etterlatte papirer innlemmet i UNESCOs dokumentarv. Disse dagbøkene og brevene kan på mange måter leses som en parallell til og en utvidelse av Anne Franks dagbok – her får vi følge Ruth fra hun er ca. tolv år til hun 22 år gammel beordres om bord i «Donau». Komponist Gisle Kverndokk forteller at musikken bare rant ut av ham og alle skissene ble med i den ferdige musikalen: «Så det var en veldig rar opplevelse». Teksten står i sentrum og musikken flyter inn og ut og rundt, hele tiden. Den kommenterer og vever ulike sekvenser og scener sammen. Og dette resulterte i 2023 til nominasjoner i sju kategorier under Deutsche Musical Theater Preis, en av Tysklands største teaterpriser. Han endte til slutt med de gjeveste prisene; prisen for Beste komposisjon og prisen for Beste musikal! TSO og Trøndelag Teater samarbeider om denne oppsetninga, som er en storsatsning for Trondheim Symfoniorkester & Opera. Ravi at Røkeriet USF Doors open at 19:00. Concert starts at 21:00. Kippers is open before and after the concert, offering food and drinks. Ivar Christian Johansen, better known as Ravi, turns 50 on April 28. Three days later, on May 1, he invites everyone to an unforgettable birthday concert at USF Verftet in Bergen. This will be a night of musical celebration, where one of Norway’s most beloved artists marks his life and career together with the audience. Since the early 2000s, Ravi has been a central figure in Norwegian pop and rap music, performing with Jaga Jazzist, Folk & Røvere, and DJ Løv, among others.

For far too long, both performers and audiences have been deprived of the joy of playing and hearing music written by women. This silence has robbed us of half the genius, half the history – and not least half the joy of our musical heritage! To pay tribute to female composers throughout history, musicians from the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Trondheim Vokalensemble invite you to a chamber music concert dedicated exclusively to music written by women. We welcome you to sit with us on the main stage in Olavshallen for a unique, up close and personal live listening experience! The concert is free.

During his 24-year tenure at the helm of Manchester’s Hallé Orchestra, Mark Elder commissioned a work from the composer James MacMillan that would celebrate the power of music itself. Timotheus, Bacchus and Cecilia sets the words of John Dryden’s iconic poem in praise of St Cecilia, a text full of rich imagery incorporating fiery dragons, flying fingers and radiant spires. The result is a thrilling drama in sound for large orchestra and mixed chorus, a piece Sir Mark chose to perform in his his last concert as the Hallé’s Music Director. MacMillan’s full-blooded celebratory work forms the centerpiece of our season finale at the Grieg Hall, which opens with Brahms’s noble homage to his forbear Haydn and concludes with Sibelius’s masterful synthesis of symphony and storytelling. The Finnish composer’s Lemminkäinen Suite channels the spirit and sound of his nation’s folklore in recounting the tale of a dashing young hero who proves his prowess in life and even defies death - with music every bit as gripping as you’d expect.

Whether he is playing a Swedish polska, a Greek rebetika melody or bluegrass, he does so with total dedication and infectious energy – on mandola, harmonica, accordion, flutes, or whatever instrument he happens to have at hand. Bruce Molsky is a city boy who became one of the very finest performers of traditional American fiddle music, with a particular love for bluegrass and old-time music from the Appalachian Mountains. Linda Ronstadt, Mark Knopfler, Ånon Egeland and Annbjørg Lien are just a few of the many musicians he has collaborated with.
