Im Juni 2026 eröffnete das spektakuläre, innovative neue Otolith-Museum in Storvågan, Kabelvåg – im Herzen der Lofoten-Inseln!
Es wird Teil des SKREI-Zentrums für Wissen und Erlebnisse sein, zu dem auch das Lofoten-Museum, die Galerie Espolin und das Lofoten-Aquarium gehören.
Das Otolith erzählt die Geschichte der Fischerei auf den Lofoten und beleuchtet die enorme Bedeutung des Skrei – dieser nordostarktische Kabeljau hat die Geschichte Norwegens mitbestimmt!

3. Credo in Oslo
Das renommierte Restaurant Credo von Küchenchefin Heidi Bjerkan ist von Trondheim in die Nationalbibliothek in Oslo umgezogen.

4. Kistefos – ein neues Besucherzentrum
Im spektakulären Kistefos-Museum und Kunstzentrum in der Nähe von Oslo eröffnet im Juni 2026 ein neues Besucherzentrum. Das Design stammt vom Architekturbüro Lund Hagem Arkitekter AS.
Vom neuen Gebäude genießt man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Fluss Randselva. Die Architektur harmoniert mit der Landschaft und wurde von der Geschichte des Holzflößens in Kistefos inspiriert.
5. Emissionsfrei unterwegs in UNESCO-geschützten Fjorden
Für den Verkehr im Geirangerfjord startete am 1. Januar 2026 eine neue Ära: Kleine Passagierschiffe in den UNESCO-geschützten Fjorden müssen nun emissionsfrei betrieben werden.
Erleben Sie eine elektrische Fjordkreuzfahrt mit dem eleganten, in Norwegen gebauten Hybridkatamaran Geirangerfjord 3 von Geiranger Fjordservice – Ruhe und Idylle statt Motorenlärm!
Mit dem Katamaran können Sie die Strecke Ålesund–Geiranger zurücklegen oder Fjordfahrten im Geirangerfjord machen. Er steht zudem für Chartertouren zur Verfügung.
Ab 2032 wird die Null-Emissions-Politik für alle Passagierschiffe gelten.

Im November 2025 zeigte Havila Voyages, dass sich die gesamte Küstenroute zwischen Bergen und Kirkenes emissionsarm befahren lässt.
Die Havila Polaris legte die gesamte Strecke mit verflüssigtem Biogas zurück. Vorläufige Berechnungen zeigen, dass die CO2-Emissionen durch den Einsatz von Biogas und den Batteriesystemen des Schiffes um fast 92 Prozent gesenkt werden können.

Sigvart finally goes on hymn tour again "It is 30 years since my hymn record Det er makt i de foldede hender came out. At the time I was completely unprepared for the reception from the audience, which was quite simply overwhelming. One might have thought it was churchgoers who bought the record and came to the concerts, but it reached a much broader audience. I do not quite know why. But I felt myself that there was a power in these old songs, a power that did not leave me unaffected. And now I have not played them for a long time. And never before have we performed the entire record. But we are doing something about that this year: On the autumn church tour we will simply play the entire record. Live. In addition we play some of the most hymn-like of my own songs, as well as the odd one from the Hymns album. This will be a one-off occasion, and it will be wonderful! On Wednesday, September 23rd, we at Legend Metalfest invite you to Metalbingo at Good Omens. There will be metal all over the place, laughter and fun, a little chaos and opportunities to win a whole bunch of cool prizes. This is individual and is definitely more of a game than a competition. But first, what is Metalbingo? Forget what you think you know about bingo. There will be no Olga 65 or Ivar 23 here. Here it will be Metallica, Celtic Frost, Dissection and Black Sabbath. We play a song, you recognize it and find it in an already given song list. There you will find a number that you will again find on your bingo block. Then there are one-rows, three-rows, three-rows and corners that apply. The songs are played in random order and if you don't recognize any songs, we will help you get the right number in place. On the tour, Chris Kläfford performs his own “Kitchen Sessions” songs, in addition to selected favorites from the catalog. When he embarks on a Norwegian tour in the fall of 2026, he invites the audience into an intimate and stripped-down universe, where the voice, the guitar and the personal lyrics are at the center. Chris Kläfford is the artist who, with his unique voice and strong presence, captivates audiences worldwide. He is known for his emotionally charged interpretations, his own songs and intense live performances that create an atmosphere that few others can match. Since his breakthrough in Idol, he has distinguished himself as one of the Nordic countries' most distinctive voices. Internationally, he received great attention through America's Got Talent, and with over 1.7 million followers on social media, he has built up a loyal and ever-growing fan base. In 2024, he toured Scandinavia and completed two sold-out European tours. The young organ virtuoso is already in the process of building an international career. With sparkling playing and infectious enthusiasm she captivates a large audience. Autunnale's festival profile Amalie Stalheim is Victoria's guest at the concert. Victoria Ulriksen (b. 2006) studies performance organ at HMT Leipzig under Martin Schmeding and church music at Norges musikkhøgskole under Kåre Nordstoga, in addition to fortepiano and piano under Liv Glaser. She made her debut at the age of 15 in Oslo domkirke and has since performed concerts in among others Westminster Abbey, Nidarosdomen and Fraumünster Zürich. She has appeared at a number of festivals such as Oslo Internasjonale Kirkemusikkfestival, Festival Internacional de Órgão e Música Sacra, International Organ Summer Karlsruhe and has opened Salzburg Festspiele 4 times. The entire building fills with life when some of Norway's most exciting contemporary ensembles invite you to a promenade concert in Nykirken! Stemmeklang performs the work DE PROFUNDIS by Tyler Futrell together with NyNorsk messingkvintett, and the work OSEAN together with Parallax. Parallax and Anders Hannevold give the world premiere of the new work SERAF for guitar, percussion, trumpet, loose organ pipes and organetto portativo. Stemmeklang is a vocal quintet that works with space, sound and acoustics, with music that is in the borderland between contemporary music, improvisation and sonic exploration. The musical moves between voices, sounds, sonic textures and the room's own resonance, where architecture, history and acoustics become an active part of the experience. «Sara Parkman sings about what is at stake» – Klassekampen Sara Parkman has since her debut in 2016 pushed the boundaries of what folk music can be. Her albums and concerts have time and again been celebrated for weaving together tradition and future. Along the way she has received a number of prestigious awards and had several sold-out tours. Parkman's recently released fourth album Aster, atlas explores the mysterious tradition, what it means to live, and to handle the living. Throughout, Parkman carries with her ora et labora - «The idea of prayer and work I want to be a comfort, a hope and an encouragement in the rather demanding times we live in. We shall continue to work and believe in community.» In Aster, atlas Parkman crosses traditional Norwegian herding calls with the early church's choral tradition, mixed with pulsating electronic music. Vocalist Linda Farestveit has since the mid-eighties been one of the city's leading jazz vocalists, and she is especially known from collaborations with pianist Knut Kristiansen in bands such as Night and Day and Inventarium. In addition Linda is frequently used as a soloist in larger and smaller ensembles. At JazzGalleriet this Saturday you will hear a selection of songs from the standard repertoire that Linda has chosen for the occasion. Use the Saturday for a musical encounter with new faces and voices from the array of Fana residents and Bergen people in general who engage with live music! JazzGalleriet is local afternoon jazz, served in Småsalen one Saturday a month. Here you will hear the regular house band with guests perform inspired interpretations of a varied jazz repertoire. The opening concert is a reflection on the festival theme LIFE. The first part points towards the main work – Gabriel Fauré's Requiem – among other things through Ole Sarvig's text: Grief strikes everyone, no one escapes; without distinction it strikes us down. Eric Whitacre's I Thank You God with text by e. e. cummings, is a bright, majestic and expectant work. The composer describes it as a poem so beautiful and joyful that the music at times almost wrote itself. Caroline Shaw's In manus tuas for cello is inspired by a motet by Thomas Tallis, with the text Into your hands, Lord, I commit my spirit (Psalm 31:5 and Luke 23:46). Per Nørgård's Wie ein Kind is inspired by the art of Adolf Wölfli and Rainer Maria Rilke's spring poem, and opens up a powerful encounter with various childhood memories. The second movement in particular connects to the festival theme through the earthly and childlike, while the third movement expresses a human anxiety in the face of death. Gabriel Fauré's Requiem conveys a bright and peaceful view of death, where the composer himself describes the work as an expression of a quiet faith in rest and redemption. The concert is an honest, human encounter with the existential, and the belief that there is comfort and rest both in life and in death. Gradually you hear the sound of voices – breath and wordless sounds fill the vaults before they turn into meditative music. A new work by Sissel Vera Pettersen for Trondheim Voices. The work premiered at Moldejazz in July 2026. Fluctuations draws its inspiration from waves. From the deep movements of the ocean to the ever-repeating cycles that govern all living things, and the ceaseless fluctuations that define both nature and human life. The vocal ensemble Trondheim Voices is known for challenging the boundaries of what voices can express. In this new commissioned work, composer Sissel Vera Pettersen takes the concept of “waves” as a starting point – not just as physical movements, but as a metaphor for human experiences and the invisible ties between nature’s cycles and people’s inner lives. The work is inspired by repetitive minimalism, animal sounds, machine noise, liturgical chorales, ritual rhythm circles, and music as a timeless connecting force between people. A mosaic of personal expressions. Trondheim Voices consists of some of the country's foremost improvising vocalists, and in this project each individual singer is given a crucial role. The music is written as a framework where each ensemble member colors the soundscape with their unique, personal expression. Through a seamless fusion of acoustic sound and electronic manipulation, the voices are transformed into everything from fragile melodic lines to massive walls of sound. The Grammy-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gill Landry comes to Lille Ole Bull on 22 September as part of Bergen Live Sessions. Gill Landry is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist from Louisiana. He started his career as a street musician in New Orleans and along the American west coast, before joining Old Crow Medicine Show in 2004. Together with the band the journey went from touring in a van to Grammy wins and membership of the legendary Grand Ole Opry. In 2015 Landry left the band to focus fully on his solo career. Through six solo albums he has developed a distinctive expression with roots in American folk, country and americana – from grand, cinematic arrangements to intimate and contemplative songs about love, loss and life on the road. Landry has covered over one million miles on tour and shared the stage with artists such as Brandi Carlile, Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons, Ben Harper and Nathaniel Rateliff. On his latest album, Cinnamon Canyon Blues, he draws inspiration from several years in near isolation at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. In 2020, the band performed a commissioned piece by Steinkopf to great acclaim. Now, six years later, the band gets to perform new music composed by Steinkopf over the past year. Since then, Ingrid has completed a master's degree in jazz composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, where the focus has been on large ensembles with a focus on big bands. In this concert we will present music from her master's project. The program consists exclusively of her own compositions, arranged for big bands. The music has grown out of a trio format and developed into larger arrangements for big bands. Steinkopf's musical language moves between clear rhythmic grooves, polyrhythms and melodic lines. All compositions on the album are by musician/composer Ole Amund Gjersvik. When the country was shut down during the pandemic, he, like many other musicians, felt worthlessness and a lack of community – unity. Ideas and composing the song "It Was A Bad Year" was the start of several demos where many of the compositions have taken inspiration from music from distant climes; everything from Bossa Nova, Mambo, Reggae jazz, Swing/Trad, Samba, Bolero to Funky jazz. With the album HOPE, Ole Amund hopes that listeners will find joy/comfort and get their minds off insecurity in a troubled world. HOPE was recorded in "Havnelageret sound studio", Bergen on 7 January 2026, with Daniel Birkeland as sound engineer. The selected songs are all recordings from the first or second attempt, which means that the music retains a freshness, almost "live" feeling! All the musicians who participate on the album are all part of this quintet – all of them also very reputable based in the Bergen area! A LETTER TO EUROPE On September 20, interdisciplinary artist Nazanin Noori presents the premier of A LETTER TO EUROPE, a new spoken word opera commissioned by Bergen Kunsthall based on a poem by poet and playwright Athena Farrokhzad addressing migration, borders, and displacement in contemporary Europe. Fragments of Earthly Verses by Forugh Farrokhzad recur throughout the performance as a poetic refrain. Combining voice, percussion, and electronics, the work features a score composed by Noori together with musician and composer Andrea Belfi.

The quote above is what the renowned author and New York Times critic Alex Ross writes about Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time. The masterpiece was composed in 1941 under inhuman conditions in a German concentration camp, but despite the backdrop the music feels full of vitality and hope. Pianist Håkon Austbø has over 60 years of work established himself as one of Europe's foremost Messiaen interpreters, and we look forward to experiencing him in this significant work together with a solid group of chamber musicians from the Broadcasting Orchestra. Brahms' violin sonatas also symbolise a very special vitality – three sonatas that have become among the most complete and substantial chamber music in history.
