Trondheim im Sommer

Voller Leben, voller Genuss!

We walk together in Herborg's songbook When Kråkevik's songbook was published in 2000, with her warm and distinctive interpretations of, among others, "Den fyrste song", "Til ungdommen" and "Blåmann", the album became an immediate sensation. Kråkevik was described as Norway's number one songbird and was named Spellemann of the Year – with the justification: "Never has the Norwegian song treasure been interpreted in a finer way." The recordings, made in collaboration with the TrondheimSolistene, sold an impressive 250,000 copies and placed the album among the best-selling Norwegian releases of all time. Throughout her career, Herborg Kråkevik has shown rare versatility as a singer, actress and lyricist, and has consolidated her position as one of the country's foremost cultural communicators. In 2026, she is once again highly relevant – both in the popular TV series Hver gang vi møtes on TV2 in January, and with a new album and book in March. The new album is a collection of several Norwegian songs, and the book is a collaboration with the National Museum where songs and paintings are put together under the title "Vi vandrar saman". After three sold-out anniversary concerts in 2025, the Kråkevik and Trondheim Soloists will now embark on a grand tour in the spring of 2026. The ensemble is in the process of renewing the repertoire from the Songboka, and the audience can look forward to both immortal classics and brand new songs from the upcoming album. Here, beloved songs await in a new guise - performed by world-class musicians. Join us for an unforgettable concert experience! Twin Serpent (release party) soup: Healthy Choices + Ben Atkins

TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACKGRASS album release party! Svartlamon's own Twin Serpent are releasing their long-awaited second album. To mark the occasion, they are bringing the eminent Healthy Choices and Ben Atkins to the Lobby for an evening of cheers and shouts and riding the night away until the sky is clear! Wednesday, May 13th! Doors open 8:00 PM - concert starts 9:00 PM - age limit 18 years. Twin Serpent: With a country approach and the energy of punk, this noisy but sweet outsider band manages to blur genre boundaries. Inspired by bands like The Taxpayers and 16 Horsepower, the quartet delivers songs about love, betrayal, defiance and resistance. The dynamics vary from acoustic to amp wall with multi-part vocal harmonies, quirky guitar solos and distorted banjo. With members from Barren Womb, Probleman and Lucky Malice, this crust country band uses lo-fi black metal aesthetics without having to bathe in blood. Add a touch of folk music and the listener is taken on a journey away from the healthy polished and studied everyday life. With album two on the way and a bunch of sold-out concerts in their hometown of Trondheim, the band is delighted to spread their cosmic gospel to the people! Twin Serpent drives hard with an “in your face attitude” and is just as suitable for a barn party as a punk festival. Twin Serpent is: Timo Silvola - Vocals, banjo, acoustic guitar Hanna Fauske - Vocals, bass Tony Gonzalez - Guitar, choir Viktor Kristensen - percussion, drums Healthy Choices: With bangles and a rubber duck, Healthy Choices floats contentedly around in the wave pool of post-punk. Inspired by bands like Pissed Jeans, Viagra Boys, and Single Mothers, they talk about adult themes interspersed with some childishness to alleviate the worst seriousness. Native Texan Ben Atkins (The Atkins Tent Revival) has spent years wowing audiences with his nuclear vocals and his unique story-telling Americana-fusion. Since relocating to Trondheim (2022) he has firmly established himself in the local scene by preaching the Gospel of Good Times.

    Sweet Spot by Harald Beharie

Sweet Spot is a seductive hellish gap filled with unruly play and charm, an endless gap that dances and tumbles back and forth between eras. Resting in the abyss, Sweet Spot conjures up a distorted danse macabre, a hypnotic landscape where six ecstatic figures sing, collapse and syncopate around each other. Driven by a “dromomanic” impulse; an uncontrollable urge to travel on and move forward, Sweet Spot throws itself into a constant whirlwind: a profusion of unruly rhythms, mythologies, groovy processions and sudden waves that devour the spectator and everything else in its path. Harald Beharie's practice and choreography often arise in the span between the everyday and the extreme, the banal and the sacred, and he plays with transformation as a continuous principle, both for the body and for the spaces he moves in. Throughout all this, there is a clear artistic and political project: a desire to challenge how we perceive reality. His works explore how queerness and the body can be a medium - a place of rebellion, ecstasy and dissolution Sweet Spot concludes a trilogy that also includes the solo work Batty Bwoy (2022), which plays with fictions about the queer body, and Undersang (2024), which takes shape as a collective ritual in the forest. Location: Hall 1 ❤️Pay what you can❤️ MEET THE ARTIST! An artist talk will be held with performers from the production immediately after the performance on May 27th, in the hall. The moderator of the talk will be announced closer to the performance. The talk is free, and lasts a maximum of 60 minutes.

    wheel trowing for beginners

Duration: 12 hours spread over 2 days Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM (7 PM)** Sunday: 10 AM – 3 PM (5 PM)** Course fee: NOK 3800 (adult) / NOK 3300 (senior/student) The beginner’s wheel-throwing weekend offers time and space to learn basic throwing techniques over the course of a weekend. This course is suitable for anyone interested in trying out the pottery wheel—whether or not you have prior experience with clay. It’s designed for adults*, and can be adapted to meet individual needs. We work in small groups of around 9 participants. The course is primarily held in Norwegian, but English or German are also no problem. The course is led by Franziska and runs from 10 AM to 5 PM (7 PM)** on Saturday, and from 10 AM to 3 PM (5 PM)** on Sunday. The main focus is on mastering the individual steps of the wheel-throwing process. We learn by observing—understanding with the head, but mastering with the hands. This process requires concentration and patience, while offering a unique sense of presence as your body learns to handle the clay on the wheel. We progress in small steps and grow fond of each little bowl we create. The course provides a solid foundation to continue working on your own at the wheel—either in our open studio or at home. On Saturday, we work on preparing the clay, centering it on the wheel, and pulling up walls to create cups and bowls. Sunday is mostly dedicated to trimming, where we remove excess clay from the pieces made the day before and shape them to a nice form and finish. It's also possible to learn how to make and attach handles to cups on this day. After drying, the pieces will be fired in the kiln. At the end of the course, we’ll agree on how the items should be glazed. If you wish to do the glazing yourself, you can sign up for a glazing course***. Finished pieces can be picked up about 3 weeks later. * It's possible to register a youth (age 16+) at the student price if they are accompanied by a participating adult. ** After the official course hours, participants have the option to continue working independently for up to two extra hours. *** Please note that there must be at least three weeks between the two courses to allow the pottery to dry and be fired before glazing. You can still sign up for a glazing course after completing the wheel-throwing course—you don’t need to book it right away and can choose a date that suits you later. The course fee includes: 16-hour wheel-throwing course, incl. materials 3-hour glazing course, incl. materials 1 free trial month in our Open Studio, incl. 5 kg of clay

The Jazz Togetherness Show av Cosmic Swing Orchestra

Co-presented with Jazzfest "The Jazz Togetherness Show" is a cross-artistic performance about self-improvement, apocalypse and community, written by Petter Dalane. We follow a charismatic hypnotist who is driven mad by his belief in market forces and self-improvement, before he finally finds both his own and the world's salvation in the musical unity of the big band. Cosmic Swing Orchestra has been mixing music, satire and performance art since 2018, and The Jazz Togetherness Show is the band's largest production to date. In a time marked by global crises, climate fear and a constant rush for self-optimization, we are drowning in advice on how to become better, healthier and more successful. Influencers, consumers and technocrats are dancing towards doom in the pursuit of the best version of themselves. The performance is a satirical and absurd commentary on the culture of life mastery and the contrast between the crises around us and the smooth superficiality of today, and shows how music can be a force in the face of this. www.jazzfest.no Location: Hall 1 Duration: approx. 100 min Language: Norwegian More info, tickets and content warning can be found at https://rosendalteater.no/program/the-jazz-togetherness-show

THE TRONDHEIMSKAMPEN is a historical and topical documentary about activism then and now, told as a personal story by Barbro Rønning, as a contemporary witness and activist for 50 years. Through the film we want to look at how past activism can help ignite present-day activism. In the 70s, the people saved the old wooden houses in the city from demolition in connection with the construction of a motorway. Now Strandveien 23 faces the same threat when Bane Nor wants to build wider railway tracks and demolish old wooden houses on Svartlamoen. What can we learn from past activism? What has been and is the role of art in the urban environment struggle? And what makes a city diverse and good to live in? With: Svartlamon Women's Choir, Berit Rusten, Barbro Rønning, Siri Gjære, Daniel Johansen, Eiv Rindal, Selma Sjøhagen, Lars Gaupseth. A collaboration between: Lademoen Vel, the film producer HerStory, Naboland, IHUNDRE!, Galleri Verftsgata, Svartlamon Damekor, Ivar Matlaus book cafe and Aksjonsgruppa i Strandveien.
