Northern Lights expedition to the North Cape

Experience the arctic in a stunning expedition to the North Cape. We set out by snow shoes like true polar explorers, but this unique experience is for everyone.

The Northern Lights Chase starts from BaseCamp NorthCape at Kirkeporten Camping in Skarsvåg, about 14 km from the North Cape. From the moment the expedition starts, we also start hunting for the northern lights, learning about the arctic and reaching the northernmost of Europe on snow shoes. Because we are in the middle of the wildernes, further North than any people living in the european mainland.

At the North Cape there will be a celebration with sparkling wine or suitable beverage, along with a movie performance taking us through all seasons, a group photo by the globe, historical exhititions and a guided tour around the visitor center. We leave the North Cape by vehicle and return to BaseCamp in Skarsvåg.

For safety we have a snowmobile as a back up at our BaseCamp in a near distance.
This is a medium to advanced level trip

All participants will get a backpack from us with all necessary equipment.

Meeting point: Scandic Bryggen in Honningsvåg or BaseCamp NorthCape at Kirkeporten Camping in Skarsvåg.
