We want to refine the Norwegian, short-traveled food at Visnes Hotel.
With Arvid as hunter, we have access to soft good game meat. In addition, we collect fish and shellfish from the coast, and use our local suppliers. Marit has, with her background from Vinmonopolet, good knowledge of wine. She is a graduate of the Wine Education Trust's program "Exploring Wine and Spirits" and has the international WSET exam.
Marit will use her expertise at Visnes Hotel, and can often be found in the restaurant. If you would like to arrange wine tasting for your group of friends or your company's summer party, please get in touch.
In the summer of 2026, we set up a menu with Norwegian food, based on ingredients of between other white fish from the coast, mountain trout and beef from our local supplier.
Themed evenings with wine and a 5-course menu are arranged in the restaurant at regular intervals. Follow us on Facebook for updated information.
We also welcome guests who are not staying at the hotel to our summer restaurant! It is best if you then book a table.
