Norsk Folkemuseum celebrates Sámi álbmotbeaivi (Sámi National Day) with a flag-raising ceremony, special concerts, and guided tours.

The day begins with the raising of the flag, and regional joiker Viktor Bomstad will lead the national joik Sámi eatnan duoddariid. Coffee and cake will be served. Bomstad will also give an intimate concert in the lavvu.

There will be guided tours of the post-war reconstruction house from Finnmark, with tastings of Sámi food in the kitchen, a reading session for the youngest visitors, and sales of duodji—Sámi handicrafts—in the museum shop.

The event is organized in collaboration with Sámi Viessu / Sámi House Oslo.
