PEACE Festival 2026

The International Women's League for Peace and Freedom (IKFF) in Trondheim invites you to the third PEACE Festival in the city.


IKFF Trondheim is organizing the PEACE Festival 2026 from June 6-20. This year's sub-theme is: How to create peace - if not with weapons?
The festival is organized in the shadow of war!
The festival will be a clear counter-voice to increasing militarization, and provide space for artistic and popular expressions that challenge the notion that weapons create
peace. Through the PEACE Festival, many who are not otherwise PEACE activists are activated and the festival puts the PEACE focus on the agenda in the cityscape.
A subgroup of IKFF in Trondheim, Artists for FRED, is responsible for this year's event.


On June 6th at 12:00, the festival opens with an exhibition by Tiril Valeur at the Feminist House.

On June 7th at 1:00 PM there will be an opening of an exhibition in Tårnbunkeren at Ladehammerkaia, with 16 professional artists and contributions from the cultural school. See: https://www.facebook.com/events/1457044492589703

June 12th at 2000 and June 13th at 1400 and 2000 there will be anti-war theater "The Woman(s) and the Black Bird" with Panter Tanter Produksjoner at Stillverk 1. See: https://www.facebook.com/events/2240267303169161

On June 20th at 3:00 PM, the exhibition in Tårnbunkeren will close. An ensemble from Raw Dansekompani will dance the works out of the shadow of war.
