Davis Cup to Trondheim

Norway is ready for Davis Cup matches on home soil. On September 18th and 19th, Casper Ruud and the Norwegian team will take on Trondheim Spektrum when the opponent is China in World Group 1.

Ruud is not alone. The young rising star Nicolai Budkov Kjær is also expected on the team, and for the Trøndelag audience it will be a rare opportunity to see the world elite on home soil.

The Davis Cup matches will be played on Friday, September 18th from 6:00 PM and Saturday, September 19th from 3:30 PM . The event is organized by the Norwegian Tennis and Padel Association in collaboration with the W Initiative foundation, and Saturday starts early: at 11:30 AM the hall opens for the annual free sports party for children and young people.

Secretary General Aslak Paulsen of the Norwegian Tennis and Padel Association is not stingy with his promises. He believes that anyone who buys a ticket will quickly understand why over one billion people in the world love tennis, and emphasizes that you don't need any prior knowledge to get excited.

Casper Ruud himself is looking forward to representing the country. He highlights the special atmosphere surrounding team competitions in a sport that is usually played individually, and says he hopes the event can inspire children to try tennis and sports in general.
