Amazing mountain views from Dyna

Dyna is the highest peak in this mountain area and is a border cairn against Ål municipality. There are several paths to the top from both Nesbyen and Ål. We recommend here the trip from Skålsrudstølen.

Tour description:

Park along the road (plenty of space) before the red barrier at the end of Skålsrudstølen. The "Bergstien" towards Dyna starts on the right side of the road just after the barrier and is marked with yellow and blue marks all the way to the top. The trail meanders through the terrain. Two thirds to the top, you pass the beautiful water of the Øvre Fiskebutten. From here the path goes up the ridge towards Dyna and you clearly see the cairn. At the cairn you can relax and enjoy the view for as long as you want.

The return can go the same way, but we recommend here to follow the Rypeleggen path. From the top this trail goes east-southeast and is also marked with yellow and blue marks all the way back to Skålsrudstølen. 2.5 km before the finish, you pass the big lake Svartevatnet. Maybe it is tempting to take a dip here?
