Travel like the locals! Bus from Molde - Valsøya - Molde. Buy your tickets here.
If you are in Molde, the many adventures at Valsøya is just a bus ride away!
The bus trip from Molde goes along the beautiful Fannefjord, then over the Fursetfjellet mountain pass to Batnfjorden and further on to the magnificent Gjemnessund bridge, a suspension bridge that was opened in 1992 and which was the longest suspension bridge in Norway at the time. (Today, the Hardanger bridge is the longest, while the Askøy bridge has the longest single suspension.) A ferry ride from Kanestraum to Halsa is also included in the trip. On the ferry, you can stretch your legs and – if you are so inclined – buy a “svele”, a sort of pancake that is a local delicasy which “everyone” buys when they take a ferry trip.
When you reach Valsøya you can explore the world of the tree tops in the Høyt & Lavt (High & Low) climbing park. If you want a less airy activity, you can take a hike along the beautiful fjord, rent a kayak and paddle between small islets and rocks, swim at the tiny beach, enjoy delicious food at the Saltrøfjøset restaurant, or enjoy an ice cream in the scenic environment.
The restaurant is open daily from 13:00 to 19:00 all days when this trip can be booked. The climbing park is open daily in the school summer holiday and on Saturdays and Sundays in other periods. See the table below for all opening hours for the climbing park.
Note! Entrance to the climbing park or other acitivites is not included in the price for this trip.

About our trips
This is a “Travel like the locals” tour. The tours use public transport, i.e. regular buses, ferries and boats, but we have done the planning for you so that you can concentrate on enjoying your trip. You travel on your own - there is no guide or tour leader. On most of our tours you must change several times between different buses/ferries/boats, and it is up to you to make sure you catch your connections – truly travelling like a local! (The tours are set up so that the buses, ferries and boats connect.)
Tours are not available for booking on public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas due to deviations in the timetables. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the tour is bookable.
