Ursus maritimus – The King of arctic -Better Moments

Book

On this special east coast snowmobile trip, we get more time on the magnificent east coast, where the nature is untouched and the land frozen solid. This extreme experience in the Arctic will be hard to forget.

Better Moments #1 TripAdvisor 2016 There are about 3000 polar bears in Svalbard during the winter months. However, it is not easy to spot one of these fantastic creatures. The best chances to see one, is at the east coast of Spitsbergen. To get there we need to drive through one of the largest valleys of Svalbard and across the glaciers towards the east. At the top of the glaciers we will stop to admire the view of Barents- and Edgeøya. After a long ride, we will arrive at the east coast. Here we need to be on guard. This is the realm of the polar bears. We don't have permission to track down polar bears, but if we use our binoculars we might have an opportunity to view this majestic creature from a distance. Ocean ice and huge icebergs as far as the eyes can see, and enormous glacier fronts protruding from the sea. Here we will enjoy the deafening silence and the magnificence of nature.  Since this trip is 2 hours longer than or Ursus Maritimus - King of the Arctic trip, we get more time on the east coast. This in an extreme trip where we stay outside the whole day. We are going to drive around 200-240km, so we recommend you to have some form of snowmobile experience on this trip.
