Touring - Trekking Bike Rental
Bikes for several hours city tours or day and week coastal trips - light, reliable and comfortable. Model Crossway offers more upright siting position in compare to Speeder and is available with lower frame.
Tromsø Outdoor offers the following touring/trekking bikes from Merida:
Crossways are bikes with lower gearing, perfect for climbs, for travels with heavier luggage and people not used to cycling every day.

- Crossway Urban Montezuma
If you look for heavier gearing and higher speed check our Speeder bikes.
Bikes are available in frame sizes from 42cm to 58cm.
Bikes are equipped with:
- mud fenders
- water bottle holders one or two
- rear luggage rack
- stand
- bike computer
- hydraulic disc brakes
When you rent the bike: a helmet, bicycle look, repair set with patch kit, necessary keys for adjustments, replacement tube, pump, lights mounted on the helmet, reflective vest are included. Please choose equipment you wish to take with you on the ride.
In addition you can order
- bike bags: rear, front and for handle bar (lowrider and handle bar holder follow bags)
- bike cargo and child trailers
- after bike
- bike racks for car hook
- hotel delivery/pick up and bike transfer along the coast.
We offer also hotel delivery/pick up in Tromsø and transfer of bikes to any Hurtiboat harbour along the coast between Kirkenes and Bergen (click to open).

42 cm - user height 140 - 160 cm
46 cm - user height 150 - 162 cm
50 cm - user height 160 – 170 cm
52 cm - user height 168 – 180 cm
54 cm - user height 170 - 185 cm
55 cm - user height 180 - 195 cm
58 cm - user height 190cm+
Note: Crossway models feel slightly larger than Speeders in the same size.
It is usually possible to ride a bike one size up or down from the recommended size, but if you are in doubts order rather bike in smaller size.

RENTAL RATES:
1 day NOK 350; 2 days NOK 600; 3 days NOK 850; 4 days NOK 1060; 5 days NOK 1260; per additional day NOK 200.
No deposit is required, however, as a customer you are liable for any loss or damage to the bike.
We recommend that you obtain travel insurance covering rental services prior to your arrival.

1 day of rental = any period up to 24 hours.
