Støtt – Top of Helgeland is a member of De Historiske, a collection of some of Norway’s finest heritage hotels and historic places to stay. When staying at Støtt, guests sleep in restored structures from the former trading post, where coastal history meets elegant, stately details.

The rooms are romantically furnished with antique-style furniture, nostalgic chandeliers, and white lace curtains at the windows. Here, guests can truly unwind in comfortable beds with soft down duvets, surrounded by fresh sea air from the open coast.

Restaurant Gammelbutikken (The Old Store) is the heart of Støtt and reflects a strong, salt‑sprayed coastal heritage. The restaurant serves the very best local produce from the island and the surrounding sea. Great care is taken throughout the entire value chain – from ingredients harvested in the island’s natural landscape and fish caught in the Vestfjorden, to the dishes served at the table.

Støtt is the only restaurant in Norway that produces its own stockfish. This close attention to quality and detail results in refined dishes which, when paired with carefully selected wines, offer a memorable dining experience for guests who appreciate high‑quality food and wine.

Exploring Støtt
Near the old trading post and charming fishing village you will find sheltered coves, chalk-white sandy beaches, islets and skerries, and impressive birdlife. Bike and kayak rental is available to enable your explorations. Another option is to join a guided kayak trip – and naturally we offer kayaking courses. If you prefer, you can rent a larger boat, or join an excursion on a fishing smack skippered by an experienced fisherman. Being out on the water under the late-night glow of the midsummer sun is a magical experience!

Guest harbour and service offerings
We have a guest harbour for visitors who arrive in their own boat. By the sheltered dock are showers and toilets, and petrol pumps for refuelling. The island’s grocery store allows you to restock your supplies. During the summer, you will find a tempting selection of fresh-baked goods, as well as craft beers and local food products.
