Moderate but exposed hike, which provides a spectacular view of Stalheim, the Nærøy Valley and the Stalheim hairpin bends
This hike is relatively easy and takes approximately one hour each way. However, one should be aware that part of the trail follows an edge and may not be suitable for those afraid of heights. We recommend that you wear good hiking boots, as parts of the trail can be wet and slippery. The return leg of the journey is the reverse of the outward route.
The path to Nåli has recently been restored and is well marked with excellent information boards. There is also information of the surrounding countryside, both at the start of the tour at Stalheim, and at its destination in Nåli.
Because of its difficult access, the Nåli farm (The Needle farm) was abandoned around 1925/1930, but the remnants of the houses and the stone walls still bear witness to the sweat and toil of those who made their living on the farm.
Bring a packed-lunch and enjoy a break at one of the many spectacular rest sites along the route.
