XXLofoten take you out to explore the Lofoten Islands nature on snowshoes this winter. From January to April there is often snow and good conditions for snowshoeing and impressive lights shifting every hour during daytime. Snowshoeing is an easy way to get close to nature without too much hassle, and everyone can use them.
Our experienced guide is ready to take you out on a guided 3-4-hour trip in his backyard. Our aim is for you to enjoy intriguing stories during easy walks in our fantastic, silent nature. We guide you to the best views and photo spots. Don´t forget your camera!
During winter the light conditions change from day to day, and from December to January we have a month when the sun does not rise above the horizon. You might think this means complete darkness, but no, these days feature a fantastic light show! From darkness to a sky full of red yellow and pink colours. In early January the sun rises again, and every day sees 20 minutes more sunlight until the sun does not set at all from the end of May. Experience the fantastic lights together with us!
We don´t have to go far to find complete silence and wilderness. We decide the best route after reviewing today´s weather conditions. When there is no snow, we use crampons. You do not have to be fit to go on a trip with us, but interested in wildlife, nature and to get to know more about the Lofoten Islands.
