Scandic Syv Søstre

Scandic Syv Søstre hotel (Scandic Seven Sisters hotel) is attached to a large inndor swimming centre with modern facilities. Great fun for the family. The Culture center in Sandnessjøen is also located here with the local cinema, library and more.

The hotel's restaurant has good local food from Helgeland on the menu. There is also a bar adjacent to the restaurant. As with all Scandic hotels, you will find a small kiosk adjacent to the reception.

Only 20 minutes drive south along Kystriksveien is the Petter Dass Museum. 5 min drive north along Kystriksveien is Vindenes Hus which is part of Skulpturlandskap Nordland, close to the majestic Helgelandsbrua.

The Seven Sisters
Scandic Syv Søstre is a perfect starting point for hiking in De Syv Søstre (the Seven Sisters) mountain range. Feel free to end the day with a good dinner in the restaurant.

Island hopping by bike on the Helgeland coast
Sandnessjøen is perfect as a base to experience the Helgeland coast. From here you can easily reach islands such as Lovund, Træna and Rødøy on day trips by speedboat, or head south to Vega and Brønnøysund.

But perhaps the best way to experience this stunning coastal landscape is by bike. The classic route between Sandnessjøen and Brønnøysund can be cycled both ways. The day trip Sandnessjøen - Dønna - Herøy - Sandnessjøen is also highly recommended!

Short distance to boat, bus and plane
Sandnessjøen is an important traffic hub along Kystriksveien. The local bus and airport bus stop just outside the hotel. The speedboat quay in Sandessjøen is a few meters below the hotel with connections to islands such as Træna, Vega, Lovund, Myken and more.
