Visit a Sámi reindeer camp and join a guided Northern Lights chase from Tromsø, with reindeer, joik, a warming bonfire and refreshments.
This tour is operated by Tromsø Arctic Reindeer.
Join an evening experience from Tromsø that combines a visit to a traditional Sámi reindeer camp with a guided Northern Lights chase through the Arctic landscape.
Your evening begins with a transfer from Tromsø to a Sámi reindeer camp, where you will meet the herd and learn about Sámi culture and reindeer herding traditions. During your visit, your Sámi hosts share insights into their culture, and you will experience joik, a traditional form of Sámi singing.
After the camp visit, the journey continues into the Arctic wilderness aboard a heated minibus with a dedicated Northern Lights guide. Your guide takes you to a location where you can watch the night sky and look for the Northern Lights in peaceful natural surroundings.
During the evening, gather around a bonfire and enjoy warm vegetarian soup, hot drinks and cookies. There will be time to take in the atmosphere and look for the Northern Lights, with photography assistance from your guide. Tripods and professional photography are included.
