The fishing industry has always been North Cape's number one source of income, closely followed by tourism. During this tour you will get a chance to visit the largest active seafood factory on Magerøya island and taste some of the locally produced delicacies.
Departing from Honningsvåg by van, we will take you for a short drive to a locally owned seafood factory.
As the largest exporter of live king crab in the world, the owners prefer the name seafood factory over fish factory. Stockfish, koi-fish, king crab, wild salmon, roe and many types of fresh fish are exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.
Prepare yourself for a close encounter with one of the largest crustaceans in the world, as you will have the chance to hold and photograph a live king crab.
On top of all that, you will learn all about the stockfish, one of the most important products in the history of the Norwegian economy.
The tour ends with a guided tasting session of local delicacies produced at the factory.
