Ulstein Church is from 1848, and was built after the original stone church from 1150 was torn down in 1848. The church is made from timber, and has got a lovely interior, with some artefacts left from the original church.
Ulstein Church in Ulsteinvik town centre is from 1848, and is built in timber. It was designed by architect Wraamann, and can seat 400 people. The church was originally built at the old church site in Ulstein, but was relocated in 1878. There used to be a stone church from 1150 on the site, but it was damaged when lightning struck, and was torn down in 1848.
Ulstein Church has got a lovely font from 1698, a pulpit from 1878, and an altar piece from the original church, but this was unfortunately covered with white paint in 1701. You can also see the beautiful silver wear in Gothic Style from the Middle Ages, and 4 chasubles in lovely colours.
