Holesanden is located in Snipsøyrdalen by Snipsøyrvatnet.
Here is a nice beach. The lake is often good and warm in summer, but the beach is nice to use in all seasons. There are good parking facilities.
By the beach is also Holesandhytta which is owned by Hareid YWCA / M. Here is a summer café on Sundays through the summer. There is a fire pit both by the beach and by Holesandhytta.
On Raudesanden, the lake quickly gets warm, it is shallow and there is sand to play with.
Raudesanden is a small sandy beach in Grimstadvatnet and is named after the reddish sand.
On land there is a small lawn where you can throw out a towel or picnic blanket.
Grimstadvatnet is a nature reserve and in western parts of the lake there is a traffic ban from 1 April to 31 July.
There are no parking spaces attached to the beach. A few cars can be left in an unused pocket along the main road. Otherwise it is possible to park in the parking lot where Hareidsmyrane crosses the river. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from here, along the lush Hareidselva (gravel path).
