Explore Longyearbyen's surroundings together with your Arctic nature guide. Experience Svalbard's fascinating history and meet our beautiful, four-legged colleagues. An exciting trip in the polar night, and a visit to the charming Trapper's Station.

Dress warmly as you'll be spending a few hours outdoors and meet at your hotel reception where you'll meet our guide to start the excursion.

Our journey takes us towards Adventdalen, where you'll be enveloped by the magical polar night.

Throughout the trip, you'll hear fascinating stories about Svalbard.

We'll make a stop at the famous polar bear sign and share insights about the mining operations we pass, including both closed mines and the active one still extracting coal from the mountains.

We'll travel by car, and our final destination on this route is our Trapper’s Station.

This basecamp is a faithful replica of old trapper’s stations in Svalbard and serves as home to our sled dogs – a lively and friendly group of Alaskan huskies. Just like humans, these dogs come in all shapes and personalities; some are timid, while others are bold.

There are both small and hefty ones, ranging from experienced guide dogs to playful puppies.

Meeting our dogs is always a delightful experience, filled with joy and enthusiasm.

You're more than welcome to spend time with them, offering hugs and snuggles, which happen to be their favourite part of the day.

Afterwards, we'll gather around the fireplace for storytelling and enjoy a warm cup of coffee to thaw our frozen fingers before heading back to Longyearbyen.
