This 6-days bike tour gives you a firsthand experience of the Fjords of Norway. Landmarks such as Bryggen i Bergen, The Historical Hotels and Restaurants, and the Hardangerfjord are some of the places you will visit. Local guides will be available to assure that you will have the best possible experience.

This stunning ride along the beautiful west Norwegian Fjord lasts for five days, and let you have nice meals and good rest at The Historical Hotels & Restaurants along the ride. One of the stops is at the house where one of the largest collections of Olympic and World championship medals are gathered under the same roof, namely the home of Liv Grete Skjelbreid and Raphael Poiree.

A support vehicle will transport luggage and further be at your service if needed. An additional option of E-bikes is available for all or parts of the ride.

Tour By Day (with guide)

Day 1: Arrival– Welcome to Bergen! 
We meet by 18.00 at the new Bergen Børs Hotel, where information regarding the forthcoming trip will be given. You can chose between three different bikes: Road bikes, touring bikes, and E-bikes for an additional cost. (You can read more about the bikes here).

Day 2: Bergen– Os 
On our bike ride we’ll pass Troldhaugen, the home of Edward Grieg, before we continue on local roads and bike paths towards Os. Here we’ll have a break at a traditional boat-building workshop that is part of UNESCO’s world heritage list. After this we’ll hop on our bikes and pedal the short distance to Solstrand Hotel and Spa. Enjoying the beautiful Bjørnafjorden from the hotel pool before dinner is served.

Day 3: Os – Tørvikbygd
After a lovely breakfast at Solstrand Hotel and Spa, we pedal to the ferry quay at Hattvik, which gives us a 15-minute break on the way to Venjaneset. From here we’ll start a moderate climb in a typical west Norwegian landscape towards the home of the famous Olympican skiathletes Liv Grete Skjelbreid & Raphael Poiree. Here lunch will be served before we’ll continue our ride towards Mundheim where we’ll see the Hardangerfjord for the first time. Our final destination for the day is the cosy Hardigansete a member of the Historic hotels and restaurants.

Day 4: Tørvikbygd – Hotel Ullensvang 
We’ll start the day with a ferry ride where we cross the Hardagerfjord to reach Jondal. From here we pedal north along the fjord, through beautiful scenery towards Herand. Enjoying a break on the quay, where we’ll be able to see petroglyphs from the Bronze Age, and an old frame saw. There will also be possibilities for a short meal here. From Herand the toughest climb of the ride starts, thus if there is time we’ll take a detour halfway up the hill, to visit a little art gallery. After the top is passed we’ll roll on through apple and cherry gardens towards Utne, where we yet again cross the Hardangerfjord by ferry to Kinsarvik. From the quay we pedal 10 km along the fjord to Ullensvang hotel.

Distance: 45.5 km/ 28.1 miles
Elevation gain: 780 m
Terrain: Slightly hilly, one climb
Accomodation: Hotel Ullensvang (Spa, tennis, fitness-rom, indoor and outdoor pool).
 
Day 5: Ullensvang in Hardanger – Voss
After breakfast we cycle back to Kinsarvik, where we board the ferry and enjoy a 45 minute beautiful boat ride in the inner part of the Hardangerfjord. From the quay we cycle in hilly terrain along the fjord to Granvin before we continue on to the old path of Hardanger railway. Halfway between Kvanndal and Voss we stop at the Skjervsfossen a 150 meter two level waterfall with small footpaths connecting the levels. The last part of the ride is slightly downhill towards Voss, a village surrounded by mountains. When arriving at Voss, we’re met with refreshing drinks at Store Ringheim hotel and restaurant our hotel for the night, before we dine in the local restaurant.

Day 6: Farewell!
We say farewell after breakfast. The day may be used for a bike ride without guidance from Voss. Arrangements will be made to get you safe and sound to the train station. Train is the easiest way to get to both Bergen and Oslo, the two largest cities in Norway.
