Northern Norway Troms og Finnmark MÅLSELV

Aurora sky point

Overview

This tour is conducted by Destination Snowman. Hunt the light in magical Bardufoss Region, only two hours by bus from Tromsø.

The nature is absolutely outstanding; the climate is normally clear and cold with optimal conditions for Aurora, snow and ice – here you can boost your chances to see the Aurora. Aurora Sky Point is located in Bardufoss region, at 360 height meter, in the mountain just outside Basecamp Snowman.

Aurora Sky Point is one of the very best spots in the world to hunt the Northern Light; with inland climate, mostly clear skies and sub-zero temperatures, very little light pollution and free sight to the north.
Your experience starts at Basecamp Snowman with coffee, tea and a short pre-information about the Northern Light and our evening adventure. Afterwards we are walking a few minutes to the Northern Light spot, to hunt the light in the frosty landscape. During the adventure you can sit by the open fire inside our nice Aurora Hut, enjoying coffee, tea and cakes. During your stay you will be served a nice homemade, local soup.
In addition, if you like, you can try some typical Norwegian activities like building a snowman, go tobogganing and try snowshoeing. Also, you might see a reindeer! A photographer will help you to take the best pictures. The photos taken during the adventure will be made available for you after the trip.
At the basecamp you will find a shop, café, toilet, etc.
