Alta Canyon

The dam and the power plant can only be visited on guided tours, since the road is closed by Tutteberget. It is possible to walk or bike the last 7-8 km to the canyon. You can also take a hiking tour to the Canyon from Gargia mountain lodge, it is a great trip in plain terrain.
One can also take a riverboat from Sorrisniva or paddle down the Alta River with Glow Explorer.
If you wish to drive all the way up to the canyon and dam it is possible to do so with a guide.
