Tandem skydiving is a fantastic way to try skydiving. As a tandem student, you have the opportunity to take your first steps towards freefalling in a controlled manner, safely strapped to an experienced and trained skydiver. Many people choose to sign up for skydiving courses after they have jumped tandem.
We arrange tandem skydiving every day from April to September.
Float weightlessly through the air and have one of the greatest experiences of your life.
As a tandem student, you will go through the jump on the ground with your tandem instructor.
You will then take your seat in the plane that will take you 4,000 meters into the air. When you leave the plane, you will be in free fall at 200 km/h for about 45 seconds.
The entire experience is filmed by the instructor, or a jumper from our experienced camera team. The paragliding ride takes 5–6 minutes, and you may even get the chance to try controlling the paraglider before the instructor takes you in for a safe landing.
We guarantee adrenaline pumping, unparalleled views and an experience of a lifetime!
Accessibility:
Voss Skydiving Club has carried out several tandem skydives with students who have various disabilities. Through good communication with the student, they can accommodate most challenges. In advance, Voss Skydiving Club must receive information about, for example, limited mobility/paralysis/strength in arms and legs, and whether the student has issues with spasms or similar conditions. Please get in touch well in advance of when you wish to jump, as Voss Skydiving Club must apply for approval from the Norwegian Parachute Association to carry out the tandem jump.
Requirements:
- People over 100 kg must be individually assessed by a tandem instructor before permission is given to jump. The upper weight limit is always 105 kg. (Weight includes clothes and shoes that you jump in)
- The age limit for tandem jumping is 18 years. With written authorization from a guardian, you can jump when you have turned 15 (https://nlf.no/siteassets/fallskjerm/skjema/skjema_foresatte_2021.pdf)
- For tandem students over 80 years of age, a medical certificate from a general practitioner must be presented stating that the student is considered fit to perform jumps as a tandem student. The certificate cannot be older than 3 months on the day of the jump.
All tandem students must sign the following self-declaration:
I further confirm that I have informed the tandem instructor of all illnesses I have that may be of importance in connection with the tandem jump, including, for example, diabetes, epilepsy and heart disease. (In case of doubt about medical approval, a doctor must be consulted and the F/NLF's medical examination form must be completed).
