Combine this authentic Sami culture and reindeer sledding experience with a magical visit to the Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.

This tour is conducted by Norwegian Travel.

This activity does not include bus transportation. Please arrive at Camp Tamok at 10:15(am).

At Camp Tamok, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and outfitted with the essential gear including thermal suits, boots, and gloves, ensuring comfort and warmth for the adventures ahead. As our reindeer herd is some distance away from the dog yard, this activity will start with a short transfer by minibus to our Sami camp.

Reindeer sledding has been practiced for thousands of years and is therefore deeply rooted in the traditions and way of life of the indigenous Sami people. It has been an integral part of Arctic livelihoods and transportation for generations, making it one of the oldest forms of transportation in this region. This cultural adventure includes a reindeer sledding tour, storytelling about the fascinating Sami culture and feeding of the reindeer. There are about 5-6 reindeer in the camp.

After your encounter with the reindeer, you will return to Camp Tamok. Relax with a warm meal and drink by the open fire inside one of the lávvus (indigenous Sámi tent).

During your meal, a camp host will inform you where and when you are expected for the second part of your activity: a visit to Tromsø Ice Domes Snow Park.

Enter the park and discover the magic of the snow and ice sculptures. Wander around by yourself through a mesmerizing display of snow and ice sculptures and explore our domes. Marvel at the amazing art coming to life with light in its natural surroundings of pristine nature and peaceful Arctic landscapes. Get close to one of the most iconic animals of Northern Norway: visit the reindeers near the Snow Park.
