Summer palace surrounded by a beautiful park at Bygdøy.

The Lustschloss (royal summer palace) of the Royal Family by Frognerkilen on the Bygdøy peninsula, is open to the public in summer. Visitors can also visit the surrounding park.

Oscarshall was built from 1847 to 1852 by Danish architect Johan Henrik Nebelong, commissioned by King Oscar I, and since 1863 it has been at the King's disposal. It is considered neo-Gothic masterpieces in Norway, and is one of the country's main national romantic memorials. The grounds include a main building, a park that leads down to the water and an open pavilion.
