Step into a cozy minibus and travel with a local guide who knows these valleys and fjords by heart.
This tour is operated by Arctic Aurora Tours.
We keep our groups small (maximum 16 guests) to ensure personal attention, plenty of space to relax, and assistance with your camera when the aurora appears.
Along the way, you will gain insight into the traditional nomadic Sami way of life and hear local stories from the coastal communities of Northern Norway. You will also learn how to capture the perfect photograph and take home memories and images to treasure for a lifetime.
If the Northern Lights do not appear, you will be invited back on another evening at a reduced rate – because everyone deserves their moment beneath the Arctic sky.
Instead of stopping at crowded viewpoints, we usually head to our private camp in beautiful Grøtfjord, far away from the city lights. Wander freely, enjoy organic hot chocolate or herbal tea by the fire, and sample traditional snacks and a hearty meal made from local ingredients.
Of course, our main goal is for you to experience the Northern Lights. If the weather conditions are poor in Grøtfjord, we will continue the chase elsewhere.
