The charming farm Galde Uppigard is set in peaceful and idyllic surroundings in Bøverdalen, a short distance from the Galdhøpiggen summer ski center, Sognefjellet, and all of Jotunheimen’s majestic mountain areas, and is a perfect starting point for hiking, summit trips, hunting, and fishing.
If you’re looking for accommodation near Galdhøpiggen and want to stay between thick, cozy log walls, Galde Uppigard is well worth a visit. Here you stay in various houses on the farm, self-catered. The place is a perfect base for ski training—both alpine and cross-country. It’s only one kilometer to the nearest shop. A nice, family-friendly place consisting of new and old houses with all facilities.
In the old farmyard you’ll find peace and quiet, and in Gamlestova, which dates from the 1710s, you can relax, light the fireplace, and feel that you’re staying in a house with soul.
