Join a daytime dog sledding tour from Tromsø to Skibotn Valley. Drive through snowy pine forest with Alaskan huskies and views towards the Lyngen Alps.

This tour is operated by Activenorth.

Travel from Tromsø to Skibotn Valley for a daytime dog sledding experience with Alaskan huskies. The trail takes you through snow-covered pine forest and open winter landscapes, with views towards the surrounding mountains and the Lyngen Alps.

At the camp, you will receive warm winter equipment and instructions before heading out with the dogs. The dog sledding lasts approximately 60 minutes.

After the activity, warm up at the camp with hot soup and bread, coffee and tea, with time to relax before travelling back to Tromsø.

During December and early January, parts or all of the dog sledding may take place in darkness or partial darkness. A headlamp will be provided when required.

Minimum age: 5 years

Meeting time and place: 8:00 AM (08:00) outside Scandic Ishavshotel, Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø. Look for the Activenorth bus.

Departure time: 8:15 AM (08:15) with the Activenorth bus. Arrival in Skibotn is approximately 10:30 AM (10:30).

Duration: Approximately 7.5 hours, including around 3.5 hours at the camp for preparations, instructions, approximately 60 minutes of dog sledding, lunch and time to relax, plus approximately two hours of transfer each way. Return to Tromsø is around 4:00 PM (16:00).

Important information:
• If there is not enough snow for sledding, the activity may be operated using wheeled carts instead
• During December and early January, parts or all of the dog sledding may take place in darkness or partial darkness. A headlamp will be provided when required
