Women sing for peace
The world is more troubled than it has been in a long time. War and misery dominate the news, and many feel that it is difficult to know how to help, or contribute meaningful support. With this in mind, Embla has invited three other women's choirs to a joint concert where the ticket proceeds go entirely to peace work in charitable organizations.
In addition to collecting contributions together, it is meaningful to gather around music. People have always sought music and culture when the world is difficult, and perhaps we need community and cultural experiences more than ever.
The choirs are:
- Cantus w/conductor Tove Ramlo-Ystad
- Viva w/acting conductor Eva Holm Foosnæs
- Schola Sanctae Sunnivae w/conductor Anne Kleivset
- Embla w/conductor Marit Tøndel Bodsberg
The evening's moderator is Anne Kathrine Slungård, director of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Opera.
All proceeds will go to the peace work of Doctors Without Borders. The public can choose several donor categories, and it will also be possible to donate via Vipps.
