Welcome to Sarpsborg Viking Festival 2026 in Landeparken, 17–19 July 2026!
Join us as several hundred Vikings from Norway and Europe move into Landeparken and recreate the life and atmosphere of Viking Age Borg as it was 1,000 years ago!
For the 13th time, Olavsdagene is organising a Viking market in Landeparken in collaboration with the Viking group Vinir.
Visitors will get to taste, smell, hear and feel what life in Borg was like at the time when Olav Haraldsson came sailing up the river and settled by the mighty waterfall.
At the Viking market, you can experience how the Vikings lived. In the different Viking tents, traditional crafts are demonstrated and handmade goods are sold. Here you can watch the blacksmith at work, taste Viking food and try a range of activities such as archery, axe throwing, a climbing park, a treasure hunt and much more!
Throughout the Viking market, there will be an exciting programme with musical performances, storytelling sessions, Viking games and battle shows at scheduled times. The excitement will be high when the Vikings compete to see who deserves the title of “Strongest Viking”!
