Lecture: Marcel Proust og den grenseløse sjalusien

No writer has portrayed jealousy more profoundly than Marcel Proust. In this conversation, Tone Hødnebø, Hans Petter Blad and Henrik Langeland explore how jealousy in Proust becomes an obsession without limits. It transforms love into investigation, imagination into torment, and brings the dead back to life.

Tone Hødnebø (b. 1962) is a poet who has received, among other honours, the Sult Prize and the Gyldendal Prize for her literary work. She has recently translated Anne Carson’s poetry collection The Albertine Workout, which revolves around the character Albertine from Marcel Proust’s novel cycle In Search of Lost Time.

Hans Petter Blad (b. 1962) has written screenplays, novels and plays, and his books are often set in France.

Henrik Langeland (b. 1972) achieved his breakthrough with the novel Wonderboy (2003), about the dot-com bubble at the turn of the millennium. He has an extensive body of literary work and has written several books inspired by Marcel Proust. He also holds a doctorate on Proust’s In Search of Lost Time.
