Everyone is going to join, it says in Norway, but in meeting with the school, Samuel Massie lost all the glow and self-confidence. As a 16-year-old, Samuel dropped out of school and ended up in the spotlight of the police. Then the mother went behind his back and submitted an application to the Folk High School 69 degrees north.
One year at the folk high school and the meeting with Jarle Andhøy was the rescue of the schoolboy Samuel. Two years later he has written the testament and is at the helm of the sailing ship «Berserk» with a course for the South Pole. When the ship and three of his friends disappeared, life was totally turned upside down.
Through a worldwide media explosion, Samuel managed to turn the negative into his life into something positive and lately he has received the most attention for the moving and popular TV show "Samuel and Grandpa". Together with his eternal and cancerous grandfather Arne Ulvolden (82), Samuel takes him along to fantastic adventures around the world where motivation, commitment and joy of life are in focus. A successful journey for the duo in spite of motor breakdown, near-kidnapping, parachuting and much more ...
In the lecture "Samuel and Grandfather" you can expect a fun and inspiring tone between two who have become each other's very best friends: about the art of living, livelihood and the inner 18-year-old. About curiosity and wonder about this great life that may begin to approach the end. How do I choose to live, even if I suffer from illness? We often have more choices than we think.
