This four-hour food tour seeks to take you off the beaten path and show you the genuine Oslo, while you sample Norwegian and local specialty food. From its starting point at the lively Grünerløkka the tour takes you to the nearby Mathallen food hall, where you get to visit several vendors and taste the classic Norwegian brown cheese, as well as many other local delicacies.
Stopping off at tasting locations along the way, the tour then takes you towards the city centre while passing through several interesting areas of Oslo, including the new artists' colony along the river, and the old city center.
Down at the docks, you get to enjoy a mixed plate of local foods in one of the most typical Norwegian restaurant in town. The final stop is a central microbrewery, where you get to try Norwegian beer.
Guiding in English or Norwegian, depending on the needs of the participants.
Please note: Advanced booking is required, no later than 24 hours prior tul the scheduled tour: visit Oslo Food Tours' website for bookings and more information.
