Nuart hosts an annual festival for national and international artists who operate outside of the traditional art establishment. Every September, a team of internationally acclaimed street artists leave their mark on the city's walls, both indoor and out, contributing to one of Europe's most dynamic and constantly evolving public art events. The work produced at Nuart Festival stimulates debate by challenging entrenched notions of what art is – and more importantly, what it can be. The 2017 Nuart Festival will run from 31 August to 3 September, while the exhibition at Tou Scene will last until 15 October. Stavanger Sentrum Street Art Tours Takes you through 16 years of Nuart Festival's impressive Street Art history and the evolution of Stavanger into one of the world's leading destinations for Street Art.
