Sunday, May 10, the well-known Polish Chopin master Greg Niemczuk Sandnes. He comes to hold a concert in Sandnes Kulturhus and the program he will play is exactly what he has become so famous for: Chopin!

Greg Niemczuk is one of the foremost young pianists in Poland. He was born in 1985 and graduated from the Academy of Music in Katowice with the highest distinction. Now the pianist has the whole world as his field of activity. He has performed in most European countries - as well as America, Asia, Africa and Australia.

In 2010, he won 1st prize in the prestigious national Chopin competition in Warsaw and he is now considered one of the world's leading Chopin interpreters. In January 2013, he won Carnegie Hall's debutant in fierce competition with many of the world's foremost instrumentalists and in the fall of 2016 he won the audience award during the Busan Maru International Music Festival in South Korea.
Greg Niemczuk has a big international name. In his short career he has played with several of the world's leading symphony orchestras. He has played concerts in Norway every year since 2010 and will this year conduct three tours in Norway with a total of 31 concerts in churches, concert and cultural houses.

The concert at Sandnes kulturhus is titled "Chopin in Words and Tones". During the concert, Greg Niemczuk will give the program consisting of the most virtuoso, the most beautiful and the most famous drums, masurka, nocturnal, etude and Polonese by Frédéric Chopin. As a Chopin master, it is always a special pleasure for him to convey his compatriot's music abroad. Tonight's demanding program will fully demonstrate Greg Niemczuk's virtuosity and his ability to convey the specificity and emotional depth of each piece of music.

Greg Niemczuk is not only an eminent pianist, he is also a unique educator and holds annual master classes at the University of Kristiansand and at the Norwegian School of Music. He has led the Chopin Days at the Norwegian Academy of Music and has hosted the Grieg Festival in Bergen in 2017 and 2019.

As always when he is performing, he will also tell you this time about the music he will perform. This makes a concert with Greg Niemczuk a very special and rewarding experience.
