Greg Niemczuk is one of the greatest younger pianists in Poland. He was born in 1985 and finished the music academy in Katowice with the highest score. Now, the pianist have the entire world below in front of him. He has held concerts in most of the europeian countries - the same in America, Asia and Australia.
In 2010 he won the great Chopin competition in Warzawa and is now considered as the worlds greates Chopin interpreters. In January 2013 he won Carnegie Halls debut prize in a sharp competition with many of the worlds most talented instrumentalists. His latest awards was the audience award under Busan Maru International Music Festival in South Korea, the autumn of 2016. Greg Niemczuk has allready a huge international name. In his short career, he has played with several of the worlds greatest symphoni orchestras. He has been playing concerts in Norway every year since 2010, and will during these years two tours visit 15 culture houses.
The concert in Sykkylven Kulturhus have been given the title "Chopin i ord og toner". Greg Niemczuk will during the concerts give the best program that consist of the most viruose, the most beautiful and the most well known tunes of Frédéric Chopin. As Chopin-master it is always a special pleasure for him to convey his countryman's music abroad.
Greg Niemczuk is not just a eminent pianist, he is also a unique educator and choir leader, and holds annual champion classes at the University of Kristiansan and by the Norwegian Music School. As usual when he helds concerts, he will give the audience a story about the music he is about to perform. This turns a concert with Greg Niemczuk into a unique and special experience.
