Concert by Carmen Villain at Kunsthall Stavanger.
Kunsthall Stavanger presents Carmen Villain
Carmen Villain's productions and music are colored by experimenting with sound, melody and technique, and consist of a flute of flute, field recordings, synths, piano, drum samples, zither and modular sounds. She is up-to-date with the album 'Both Lines Will Be Blue' which was recently released on Smalltown Supersound, a 7-track instrumental collection of cosmic excursions, featuring drips of fourth world, avant-dub, and ambient. The album follows her Spellemann-nominated Infinite Avenue from 2017, as well as her debut 'Sleeper' from 2013. Flute is a central part of this new album, and is played by Chilean-Norwegian Johanna Scheie Orellana (formerly in Sassy 009). Carmen got her into the studio to record tunes that she had written, and gave Johanna plenty of room for improvisation / freeform.
Sander L Haga gives a support with his project D.W.B.H. where he explores the sounds of the family's old house organ.
