French, fresh, poetic, melodic and fine!
Airelle Besson has definitely made a mark on the French and European jazz scene in recent years. Among other things, the trumpeter has received the prestigious Prix Django Reinhardt, learned from Wynton Marsalis himself and been on stage with Charlie Haden, Manu Katché and Carla Bley. In November she will be performing on stage in Stavanger for the first time.
Besson has explored different styles and collaborated with a wide range of artists both as a musician and arranger. With his own quartet, Besson has thrilled audiences and colleagues with his personal songs and close collaboration with Swedish singer Isabel Sörling. Together they released the album "Radio One" in 2016. The dreamlike soundscape also moves into the experimental, with melancholy melodies and flowing harmonies.
Line up: Airelle Besson - trumpet, Isabel Sörling - vocals, Benjamin Moussay - keys, Fabrice Moruau - drums
