  •  /  km From You

Gjestestuene at Bygdøy is a distinguished venue for all types of events, including  meetings, seminars, conferences, dinners, kick-offs, parties, baptisms, confirmations, weddings and anniversaries.

The house was built in 1917 in the Norwegian national style, and is located near Bygdø Royal Farm and the old Stave church at the Norwegian Folk Museum.

The rooms Østerdalsstua, Folkestuen, Den Blå Peisestue and Festsalen are gathered under one roof. You can rent rooms separately or all together. Den Blå Peisestue is always combined with Festsalen.

Gjestestuene also offers the nearby Sæterhytten, with great views of Frognerkilen and Oslo. The house is from 1862 and offers a unique setting for any summer event with up to 45 guests.

The kitchen at Gjestestuene and Sæterhytten is run by TG Selskapsmat, an accomplished caterer that offers freshly prepared food and a high degree of service.

Events can be combined with activities at the Norwegian Folk Museum, including tours, concerts, folk dancing and storytelling. Gjestestuene also organises corporate events with activities like wood splitting, potato peeling, wife carrying and tours of Bygdøy peninsula.
